Volunteers have the opportunity to choose the hour, day, time and task they feel would best suit them.  Some of the jobs include:

Shelter Opportunities

• Kitchen help on food delivery day (currently Tuesdays 11am-1pm)
• Maintenance projects
• Phone Advocate
• Sorting donations
• Adult Group Aid (Tuesday & Thursday evenings-7pm-8pm)
• Children’s Group Aid (Tue.& Thursday evenings-7pm-8pm)
• Office Aid to make copies, correlate, staple, etc.
• Daily cleaning of windows, carpets etc.
• Upkeep projects such as painting, repairing linens etc.
• Children’s Activities Project Leader & Aids (Saturdays)
• Homework Aids (Monday – Friday, 4-5pm)
• Yard work not done by lawn service (Serenity Garden upkeep, etc)
• Resource & Referral Aid to keep manuals up to date
• ESOL Instructor

Outreach Opportunities

• Phone Advocate (Especially Weds. &  Staff Development Days )
• Donations Aid (sort donations and maintain paperwork)
• Basic housekeeping ( 2 times weekly-dust, sweep, mop, etc)
• Support Group Aid (Wed. & Thur. - 6:30pm-8pm)
• Office Aid to do intakes and take basic information
• Yard work  (Raking, weeding, sweeping etc. - 2 times a month)
• Domestic Violence Class Aid (Mon. & Tues. 6:00pm-8:00pm)

Public Relations

• Public Relations Aid (to help with presentations)
• Speaker’s Bureau Member (speak to local clubs and organizations)
• Agency Fair Aid ( Help Now Booth attendants)

Miscellaneous

• Experienced Grant Writer    
• Computer maintenance/repair
